The Free Information Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt private operating foundation based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The organization was founded to research and develop new systematic social learning networks and other collaborative learning tools to provide to the public via the internet. It is a founding principle of The Free Information Foundation that providing people with free and decentralized educational resources is the only responsible way to make an impact on the advancement of progress in our civilization. It is also our belief that people of all economic circumstances possess equal merit and potential to both learn new things and to share information. All of the projects and services created or supported by the foundation are provided to members of the public free of charge.
